With the new North Edition, the Ram 1500 is ready for anything winter brings. The North Edition is a series of special new option packages used to give the Big Horn trim of the Ram 1500 pickup the upgrades it needs to make it easier to handle whatever the weather in the country’s Snow Belt states in the north throws at it. Unveiled in Massachusetts’s Boston area, Ram’s 2019 1500 North Edition makes getting all the special options needed to negotiate tough Northern winters more affordable by offering them as a single package. With one fell swoop this truck is ready for winter weather.

What The North Edition Contains

Available to four-by-four crew-cab model buyers, the North Edition has the Sport appearance package’s monochrome style, Off-Road and Level 2 equipment, an engine-block heater, as well as Mopar deep-grooved rubber floor mats. The exterior features body-color grille, door handles and bumpers and all-weather Falken Wildpeak white-letter 18- or 20-inch tires for better traction in snow and ice. The North Edition also has a one-inch lift, heavy-duty shocks, electronically locking rear axle, Class IV receiver hitch, exposed tow hooks, hill-descent control as well as camouflaged parking sensors in the front and rear bumpers.

One The Inside

To make sure it’s good and warm when you hop inside the North Edition Ram 1500 in freezing weather, there’s remote start, a nicely heated steering wheel, heated front seats, a driver’s seat with 12-way power adjustments and four-way lumbar support, dual-zone climate control to keep the entire cab warm and heated mirrors. There’s also an easy to read 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto as well as SiriusXM satellite radio to keep you aware of what’s going on in the Snow Belt. Plus, there’s the optional tan and black upscale-looking cloth upholstery, panoramic sunroof and LED headlights. To see how the inside looks for you, check one out at Chapman Las Vegas Dodge.

Powerful Powertrain Options

Look under the hood of the North Edition Ram 1500 and you’ll find a powerful 3.6-liter V-6 eTorque engine ready to take on the mountains of snow and ice you may encounter. If you need more power to conquer the wintery north, the North Edition’s available Hemi 5.7-liter V-8 engine can do the trick. Both those engines will work in tandem with an eight-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel-drive and air suspension to make riding through snow, ice, rain and slush easier. The Ram 1500s North Edition package can make the Snow Belt a much easier place to drive around in this winter.

A Beefier Better Big Horn

The North Edition package is a welcome addition to the Ram 1500 for people in the northern climes who have to navigate over, through and around mountains of snow every year. Its beefy off-road parts, more rugged all-weather tires for more grip, four-wheel-drive system for better traction and powerful drivetrain all help it traverse any obstacle in the roadway. Plus, the heated seats and steering wheel and upgraded infotainment technology will help to make the ride more comfortable when they’re forced to face old man winter’s wrath.
