The Chrysler minivan is a great van, and it has been around for a long time. Buyers have snapped up the Town and Country minivan for years, and it is poised to show more gains in the future. While true, there is plenty of competition, and if you want to get a van, you have a lot of choices. But, Chrysler is not resting, and you can be excited about the new model that will come out in 2017. In fact, as a way to fight the SUV trend and find more buyers, they are working on a new interior, which is obviously important for most minivan buyers who want comfort and style.

First and foremost, if you want to buy a van, you should get one with a touchscreen. If you have children in the back and you are on a long road trip, you want to make sure that they are fully entertained. While the sights and sounds of the road are one thing to check out, you should also remember that kids will love to watch movies or their favorite DVDs. The Chrysler 2017 minivan will not leave your kids bored as there will be a touchscreen, which will likely be around 8.4 inches. This will be in the center console so that everyone can watch with ease.

As for in the cockpit, the driver will be treated to a rotary shift knob, which will be fitted to control the nine-speed auto transmission that the van will use.  A second large LCD screen will be between the tachometer and speedometer, which will allow the drive to see and control it all.

Under the hood, the minivan will have a brand new Penestar V6, which is a great engine that combines decent fuel economy with decent power, especially for a minivan. Of course, there are other standards on the van like cruise control and anti-lock brakes, but you should come to expect that from a name like Chrysler. Either way, it offers a smooth ride to both the passengers and the driver.

While there is a lot to learn about the van that has not been shown to the public, we can see that it will have a new fascia that is inspired by the ever-popular Chrysler 200. In 2017, the minivan will also have a sleeker styling, as the company wants to appeal to the younger crowd who is more interested in checking out new SUVs.

The interior is disguised, so we don’t know what it will have. But, we know it will feature a Dodge-branded steering wheel, along with an infotainment system. Finally, it will come with wood trim and metallic accents. Overall, it will stay true to its roots, all while offering a new owner plenty to get excited about. If you want to check out current minivans, you head down to Chapman Chrysler Las Vegas and take one on a test drive.

Without a doubt, the Chrysler minivan has gone a long way. But, if you are looking to get your hands on a new one, you will see that the 2017 model offer a nicer interior, all while giving you a great ride.
